In trading, no indicator can cover the entire market behavior. Each tool has its own strength: some indicators focus on trend (Trend), some identify key price zones (Zone), and others specialize in providing entry signals (Signal).
Flex TPO is built based on balance and breakout structures, but when combined correctly with other indicators that have their own distinct strengths, it can create a more complete and clearer trading system.
In this article, we will go through how to combine Flex TPO with indicators that represent each element: Trend, Zone, and Signal – thus building a trading method that’s structured, logical, and easier to execute.
1. Trend indicator – MA Crossover
MA Crossover focuses on the Trend element, helping to determine the main direction of market movement. On the other hand, Flex TPO identifies balance structures, breakout zones, and the Point of Control (POC). However, Flex TPO doesn’t determine the overall market trend.
When combined with MA Crossover:
- MA Crossover acts as the trend filter.
- Flex TPO identifies the balance zones and breakout/retest points.
How to trade with Flex TPO + MA Crossover combo
Step 1: Confirm the Trend with MA Crossover

- When the MA Crossover cloud turns blue ⇒ Bullish Trend ⇒ Look for Buy signals only.

- When the MA Crossover cloud turns pink ⇒ Bearish Trend ⇒ Look for Sell signals only.
Step 2: Wait for the Signal from Flex TPO
Don’t rush into trades. Wait for Flex TPO to identify the balance zone and provide a Break & Retest signal in the same direction as the main trend ⇒ Enter the trade.

2. Zone indicator – Imbalance Volume Sensor
The Imbalance Volume Sensor is an indicator that measures the imbalance between buying and selling pressure based on volume. When a significant imbalance occurs between the buyers and sellers, the indicator shows a signal that money flow is heavily skewed in one direction.
At first glance, this may seem like a signal indicator, but let's look at it from a different perspective. When an imbalance happens, we get a zone where there is strong buying or selling pressure.
Flex TPO identifies the market structure: the balance zone, break, and retest. The Imbalance Volume Sensor identifies where strong buying or selling pressure is present.
How to trade with Flex TPO + Imbalance Volume Sensor combo
Step 1: Identify the overlap between Initial Balance and Imbalance Zone
Initial Balance is where the market is in a balanced state, while the Imbalance Zone is where strong buying or selling pressure builds up.

Therefore, when price moves to create an Imbalance Zone and later builds an Initial Balance in that area, once the breakout happens, the price will move very aggressively.
Step 2: Enter the trade when a Break signal from Flex TPO appears
